There are less countries, which contains on a area of 51.000 km² so many different scenics like in Costa Rica. There are wide Areas in the North, the high Centralvalley, mountain ranges, the northpacific Landscape "Guanacaste" and the tropical Lowlands in the South.
In Costa Rica there are Jungles, Forests, Junglerivers, wide Beaches, Volcanos - and on the top of the 3.820m high Mountain "Chirripó" it sometimes falls snow!
Through the length of the Country there are the "Cordilleres", which split Costa Rica in two Parts. The shortest distance between the both Oceans is just 110 km, but you need - to get from the pacific to karribean coast - with the car about 8 hours...
The length of the Coastline is about 1500 km - Beaches are changing with Cliffs. Also in the colour of the sand there are many differents. The colour goes from snowwhite sand till near black! The best Regions for surfing are the Beaches at the pacificside of Costa Rica (Jacó, Tamarindo). But they are also well-known for their dangerous currents.

In Costa Rica there are more Species of animals at home than in Europe. Just at the area of one acre Jungle there are about 500.000 Plants to find. And each Tree is home for millions of living creatures.
Certainly the Highlight of every Journey to Costa Rica is the even active, but harmless, Volcano "Arenal"! And at Night, it's an experience to see the Volcano erupting!
Costa Rica is Central America, between Nicaragua an Panama, and the official Name is: "Republica de Costa Rica" wich it's capital is "San José".
